Work to begin at Maleny course
CONSTRUCTION could start within months at Maleny golf course.
In March the Sunshine Coast council approved a development application for the building of the first nine holes at the course.
The club now needs to submit a business plan to allow the council to issue the lease, meaning construction of the fairways could start in spring.
The course will have a detailed design of the greens and tees by this time.
This construction will require council approval.
The council will start construction of the entrance road and combined car-park (70 bays) next week.
Design work on the amenities block is also coming along well.
Completion of these facilities, behind Pattemore House, will be of considerable benefit to the Maleny Golf Club and its members despite minor disruptions to electricity and water supplies and direct access to the driving range during construction.
