Wins for wildcards
A DAY after being given wildcards into the qualifying tournament at Wimbledon, promising Aussie youngsters Ashleigh Barty and Luke Saville have showed they are up for the challenge.
Barty, last year's junior Wimbledon winner, beat South Africa's Chanel Simonds 6-0 6-3 in a round of 32 match in an ITF tournament on grass in Nottingham.
And Saville, this year's junior Australian Open winner, downed Kevin Griekspoor from The Netherlands 6-3 6-2 on clay in a Futures tournament in Munich.
