WHEN Margaret Snip ducked off to the ladies during a shopping trip yesterday, she was startled to bump into Troy Cassar-Daley coming out of an office.
Although she was star struck at the first sight of the country superstar, it was Cassar-Daley who broke the ice.
"I had no idea he was even coming today and I though 'Ooh, that's Troy Cassar-Daley'," she said.
"I didn't say anything at first and he said 'Hi, how are you?' He is lovely."
Mrs Snip extended her shopping trip so she could watch her idol take centre stage at Rose City Shoppingworld to perform.
And she loved every minute of it.
"He is just a genuine, everyday Aussie and he really comes across as just that," she said.
Cassar-Daley said he loved the opportunity to show his talent to the fans who had followed him throughout his career.
"It makes me feel really proud to realise that I have fans who stick around - country fans have a huge sense of loyalty," he said.
"These things are a nice way to show the fans you care enough to come out and are excited for the shows."
The dedicated dad of two said finding the perfect balance between work and family was essential to ensure long-lasting success with both.
Cassar-Daley graciously stuck around following the performance to meet and chat with all of his fans, signing countless copies of his new album, Home, along the way.
