Time zones no obstacle

THE new owners of 1b Eleanor St, East Toowoomba were anxiously awaiting news of the auction result at 2.30am in the morning.

They were on holidays in Ireland and deputised their son in Toowoomba to represent them.

Four bidders competed for the home that sold at auction for $750,000 in front of 70 or so onlookers.

Auctioneer and marketing agent David Snow from Peter Snow and Co Real Estate said the auction process had been perfect for this particular property.

"Open houses were well attended and enquiry from both the internet and the recent print campaign was excellent," Mr Snow said.

"With spring almost upon us we are noticing a definite quickening of buyer interest which is resulting in shorter days on market.

"We are also noticing the demand for homes under $450,000 is constantly outweighing supply."

Sellers are encouraged not to delay any longer.

"There is no better time than now to capitalise on the positive mood in the market place," Mr Snow said.
