Teeing up dignified youth care

Recently they held a charity golf day in support of Youngcare, an organisation that finds dignified accommodation for young people needing full-time care.
This week at a breakfast meeting at Coolum's Sunrise Cafe SCBA president Colin Mason presented Youngcare's Bronwyn Glass with the proceeds of the day - a $4000 cheque.
Ms Glass said Youngcare was very grateful, especially as it relied entirely on community support from organisations like SCBA.
"It's not even just the fundraising," she said.
"The awareness they create in the community for us is just invaluable."
More than 7500 Australians under the age of 65 with full-time care needs are living in aged care, simply because there are few alternatives.
