Firing up for finals

THE Barastoc Polocrosse Nationals action continues at Morgan Park with finals under lights tonight and tomorrow night.

The rest of the finals will be played in daylight hours, including five on Sunday.

When: Today to Sunday from 8am.

Where: Morgan Park.

Cost: $15 today, $20 tomorrow and Sunday, children under 16 free.

 

Tee off and help

BRING a set of clubs and hit off in the Redbacks golf day on Sunday. Money raised will go towards a new Redbacks clubhouse.

When: Sunday, hit-off from 8am.

Where: Warwick Golf Club.

Cost: $15 members, $25 non members.

 

Garage sale

HEAD on out to Sue Johnson's place tomorrow for her monthly garage sale, where all proceeds from the sale go to widows and orphans in Afghanistan.

Heavy horse day

WATCH heavy horses in work at Mick Bradford's Charity Heavy Horse

Day.

He has 12 horses and two foals on display and even a competition to name one of the foals.

ESCAPE the cooler evenings and head inside for a flick on the big screen.

The Warwick Twin Cinema is currently showing The Avengers 3D, Battleship and the Lucky One.

Into the groove

PUT on your dancing shoes and head to the Old Time Dance tomorrow night.

The evening will include music by Jim Kelly.

A FUNDRAISER to help club member Noel Loudon will be held at the Warwick Cowboys rugby league home games tomorrow.

When: Tomorrow, first game 3pm, A-grade 6pm, then draws and auction.

Where: Father Ranger Oval.

$8 adults, $5 concession, free for children under 14.

 

Popular trivia night on again

THE annual Freestone State School P&C Trivia Night 2012 is on again and is sure to prove as popular a night as ever for local trivia buffs, or for those just looking for a fun night out.

Get a team together or just bring a friend and test your grey matter, with an array of prizes up for grabs.

Raffles will also be on to help raise funds for one of our country schools.

Your host for the evening is local personality Tracy Vellacott, and a licensed bar will be operating, with supper provided.
