PALMER Coolum Resort officially launched its rebadged Village Square eateries with a spectacular al fresco culinary festival last Friday evening.

The Village Square was transformed with an array of international food stations, serving tempting treats from around the globe, international and boutique beers and a fine selection of wines.

The relaunched eateries' menus included Asian cuisine at The Smiling Duck, traditional pizzas at Pizza & Pasta, contemporary Australian cuisine at Ned Kelly's and down to earth fare at Burgers and Beer.

Kangaroo salami and cured crocodile were just two of the delights included at the antipasto station, while the spit-roasted suckling pig and lamb shanks with mash were very much in demand.
