Police release CCTV footage of alpaca attackers

POLICE have released CCTV footage of those responsible for attacking two alpacas at Caboolture State High School on Saturday morning.

The video shows two males enter the school agriculture farm and torment the animals for just over ten minutes.

Since the attack the Caboolture community has expressed its outrage over the brutal bashing.

Students are mourning the loss of Harrison and Harley who had lived at the school since 2001.

Police are still hunting two people who they believe are responsible for the cruel act after they were captured on security cameras.

They believe the males attacked the animals at the school about 5am on Saturday.

One of the alpacas was found dead at the scene while the other was seriously injured and had to be put down.

Both sustained severe head injuries, believed to be caused by an iron bar.

WARNING: CCTV footage may offend due to the graphic nature of the material.
