"I ALWAYS say my dad was one man who changed the world. If one man can make a difference you can make a difference."

She might be just shy of her 16th birthday, but Bindi Irwin is one girl who stands up for what she believes in and is never short of advice on how others can do the same.

The dedicated wildlife conservationist recently joined the judging panel at the Australia Galaxy Pageant, an event that showcases the inner beauty and philanthropic nature of career-aspiring women.

Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors was a beneficiary of the pageant this year and Bindi played host to Miss Teen Charity Wildlife Warrior Jasmine Glenister and Miss Charity Wildlife Warrior Kellie Germain on Sunday.

"The girls who take part in this pageant are so gorgeous and yet they're doing such extraordinary things as well so they're beautiful on the inside," Bindi said.

"I'm such a great believer in kid empowerment and I think that was the perfect example to see those kids going 'I want to stand up and make a difference for what I believe in and for what I know is right'.

"That's what I'm all about."

Bindi and her mum Terri took Jasmine and Kellie on a tour of Australia Zoo Wild

life Hospital so they could see firsthand where the money would go.

Bindi said more than 51,000 animals had been treated at the Wildlife Hospital in the past nine years.

"It's really a massive eye-opener to be here and exciting to meet Bindi and Terri," Jasmine said.

The pageant helped raise $15,000 for the not-for-profit Wildlife Warriors.
