Here come our new track stars
WITH the Olympics over, the next generation of sporting stars is invited to get fit and have fun by signing up to Maleny Little Athletics.
Sign-on mornings will be held on August 18 and 25 from 9am-noon in the Maleny Credit Union forecourt for under-6 to under-17 athletes. Expressions of interest will be taken for Tiny Tots (from four years).
Maleny Little Athletics will have budding sports stars running, jumping and throwing from September to March,
September 1 will be the first day of competition at Maleny High School oval from 8am.
As well as competing in individual carnivals, the children get to take part in regional and state competitions.
Maleny Little Athletics provides an all-inclusive track and field competition.
Athletes are encouraged to improve their own performances, sportsmanship and social skills throughout the season.
Maleny IGA, Maleny Amcal Pharmacy and Maleny Physiotherapy are getting behind local athletes and sponsoring Little Athletics events.
