Crocs roll Taipans

NBL.com.au

THE Townsville Crocodiles dominated a fiery reptile rumble at The Swamp to record a comprehensive 75-43 win over the Cairns Taipans.

The Taipans shot out to an early lead in the first quarter as several key Crocs struggled to find their feet.

Townsville fought back through some handy work by big man Luke Schenscher (12 points) to go into the first break with a lead of eight points.

Jacob Holmes was rock solid under the net with seven rebounds in the first quarter and 15 for the game.

The home side streaked ahead in the second period as sharp-shooter Michael Cedar stamped his mark on the game, scoring 10 points in short succession including two long bombs from beyond the arc.
