Outrage grows after school's alpacas are beaten to death
THE Caboolture community has expressed its outrage over the brutal alpaca bashings at Caboolture State High School agricultural farm on Saturday morning.
This morning students arrived at Caboolture State High School with flowers mourning the loss of Harrison and Harley, the two alpacas that had lived at the school since 2001.
Police are still hunting two people who they believe are responsible for the cruel act after they were captured on security cameras.
They believe the males attacked the animals at the school about 5am on Saturday.
One of the alpacas was found dead at the scene while the other was seriously injured and had to be put down.
Both sustained severe head injuries, believed to be caused by an iron bar.
Over the weekend many took to social media to express their outrage over the loss.
Some referred to an online Facebook page entitled '5000 likes and I'll steal an alpaca from Caboolture State High School,' which was quickly deleted once news broke of the deaths.
