Britney Spears may be sued
AMERICAN songstress Britney Spears is facing a lawsuit from a former manager, but lawyers are pushing to have it dismissed by a judge.
Her attorneys were scheduled to argue in court on Tuesday that a lawsuit filed against the pop star for defamation, libel and breach of contract should be thrown out.
CNN reports that former manager Sam Lutfi is suing the singer and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In a complaint filed on February 3, 2009, Mr Lutfi claims her parents spread "a campaign of lies" against him.
According to CNN, Mr Lutfi's attorneys want the singer to answer questions under oath, but her attorneys are fighting the requests.
